Welcome to The Murphy Auto MuseumThe Murphy Auto Museum, located in Oxnard, California, is a collection of over 45 beautiful vintage automobiles and Americana housed inside an 30,000 square foot facility. Our unique collection spans from 1903 to present day.
We are also home to one of the largest H/O scale train layouts, with many scale miles of track. Enjoy watching passenger and freight trains as they wind their way through cities, towns and the countryside.
We are open on weekends and during the week, Wednesdays 6-10pm and Fridays, or by appointment for special groups. We have exciting new exhibits planned each quarter in our main showroom and various community activities throughout the year. We hope you come visit us soon!
1947 Packard Custom Super Clipper 8 Series 2126 Limousine
This 1947 Packard Super Clipper 8 Series 2126 Limousine can easily haul 7 passengers in roomy comfort with its 148” wheelbase and powerful 8 cylinder engine. Packard was founded in 1899 by James and William Packard and George Weiss. The founder's motorized the horse carriage in 1900, a simple, single cylinder engine. The vehicle was a success and Packard was on their way to being an iconic American car brand.Car Spotlight »
Big American 8 Cylinder Power

We’re celebrating Big American 8 Cylinder Power. Come view our exhibit featuring Packards, Lincolns, Chryslers and Cadillacs in GIANT proportions. We’ll give you the stats on length, weight and mpg’s which will make you feel a lot better about what you are driving, although not anywhere near as cool or fun.
