1946 Dodge Stakebed Truck

1946 Dodge Stakebed Truck

Dodge produced this truck series from 1939 until early 1942. During the war, no civilian models were made. Production resumed in early 1945 and ran thru 1947. The same sheetmetal was used on 1/2 ton up to 3 ton trucks. Built in Los Angeles as a pickup with a flathead six cylinder, this truck now sports a custom oak flatbed and a "modern" slant 6 engine from a 1965 Dodge Panel Truck. This "Job Rated" Dodge was an Ojai farm truck for most of its life. After an extensive ground up rehab, modern upgrades were added and it's looking forward to another 50 years of service.
