The Tralette was a stamped trailer built by the Peninsular Metal Products company of Detroit, Michigan. They were built from 1932 - 1936 and were designed to expand trunk space and also to serve as a sleeper or to transport animals.
This very rare trailer came to live in our museum in April 2019. It is not known how many are in existence today but the number is believed to be less than a dozen.
The trailer has front and rear swing out vents as well as a spare tire holder inside the rear door.
